12 Tags-Funkie Junkie Style #4

Hello Everyone,

My inspiration was taken from the Background and the seasonal foliage.
I thought of Burlap when I viewed Linda's Tag, but as you can see I did not develop on this thought.
I am using G45 paper, I fussy cut the top left flower to create dimension and also added sequins, curled wire and painted up some pearls.
I was intending to establish a 3D Flower as the main focal point but it evolved into some kind of basket/birds nest!!!!
I am not too bothered that it does not resemble anything much, it was the tactile effect I was aiming for.

My foliage was cut on the Cricut machine.
Cut Bg templates are explained here.

12 Tags-Funkie Junkie Style #3

Hello Everyone,
It is another week and another Christmas Tag for the Challenge at
My inspiration was taken from the Bg and the Reindeer on Linda's Tag.

This is where I went:
I went through the same process as my previous Tags (here)

My embellishments are a Holly spray which has been painted and a little bling .
I Gold glitter embossed the pattern on my Reindeer; which was cut on the Cricut machine.

12 Tags-Funkie Junkie Style #2

Hello Everyone,

Onto my second make for the Funkie Junkie Style Tag Challenge.
And it is all about drama!

My Tag is influenced by the colour palette that Linda has used, it is strong and dark; like the night. Her Tag reflects the night sky to me and I wanted to pick up on this theme.
Once again I have used the Gold glitter, I intend to incorporate this product in all my 12 Tags along with the basic shape.

Step One:
Cut my three shapes on the Cricut using my Frames Cartridge, that is why there is a hole in the middle!

Step Two:
Die cut the Trees and applied Gold glitter and Green embossing powder.
It is so much more sparkly than the photo shows.
Step Three:
Gold emboss the Greeting sentiment, and embellished with a few stars.

This is Linda's inspirational Tag that I worked from.
This Challenge is sponsored by The Funkie Junkie Boutique.

Die cuts used.

12 Tags -Funkie Junkie Style #1

Well Hello.......Long time no post.
As I was checking up on you all this week, I noticed Linda ( The Funkie Junkie) had started her 12 Days of Christmas Tags again this year, I missed some years, but as I am on a little break I thought I would join in. Posting up once a week will not impinge too much into the wedding makes and to be honest I need a change!!!!
This is my interpretation of Linda's Tag (you can see hers at the bottom of this post. )

I am three weeks behind but it is not a problem, I can catch up.
On her Tag she has positioned a poinsettia which hit me in the eye immediately, so of course I am going to make that flower, her background is also engaging, but I did not want to go down the path of embossing, so I used G45 Christmas paper and concentrated on the shape of the poinsettia as my main focus.
I have not taken step by steps Pics, only an explanation; it is very simple to make.
Step One:
Cutting the three shapes to make up the Bg.
#1-Black CS.
#2- Gold Glitter on White Cardstock.
#3-G45 paper.

Step Two:
Die cut the petals to make up the flower.

Step Three
Embellish, I used a holly diecut, and some brads, I also glittered up the centre circle.

If you wish to play along you can find all the info on her Blog, she also sponsors through
The Funkie Junkie Boutique.
Catch up with you soon with Tag #2.
Smiles:)
Sue
