Mixed Media Box

Hello Everyone
A couple of weeks ago I went to a class at Scotties; my local stamp shop. It has been ages since I attended any classes, and although I did not learn anything new, it was a joy to be amongst like minded people, there is nothing like it for boosting the lazy gene in you and I was certainly inspired.
I did not finish the box on the day as I wanted to make my own flowers.

I of course wanted it Shabby-Chic, there are endless layers of papers, paint and ink, plus embossing paste, before I was satisfied with the result only then did I begin to add the elements.
 The Back.

The side.

Top.

The handmade Flowers.

I am entering this into Sugar Creek Hollow- Mixed Media. Challenge.

Have a great day
Smiles:)
Sue

Wow Sue, this looks as though you had heaps of fun getting this box to look so wonderfully textured and coloured. The hand made flowers add that extra touch of shabby chicness. I agree there's nothing better than having time with fellow crafters.

Breathtaking, Sue - you've just got time to come and play with us at Our Creative Corner too... I'm sure this must have all the necessary recipe ingredients - fabric, metal and inks and paints, no?! Beautiful work.

OMG!!! Do Art, Have Fun!!!! This is unbelievably outstanding. It's perfection with the shabby brick walls, the torn elements of paper and hidden mysteries, the question mark for ideas yet to come, the hinge that holds it all together, the key that opens doors, the sentiments and viola, the exceptional flowers!!!!
Onion.....I was wrong, THIS is now my favorite...LOL! Holy Beaners...I just love this so much. The embossing paste...wow...really, really gives this piece so much depth and texture and your placement of all the elements move so perfectly to make it's point known.
This is genuinely BEAUTIFUL!
hugs and smiles,
